Windows Mobile Treo for CDMA appears at FCC website October 25, 2005 [Pocket PC phone] | By Edward J. R. Contrary to what other websites claim, there is no indication in this FCC testing documentation, that it will be really called "Treo 700w". In fact "Treo xxx" is used as model name... Anyway, the new Windows Mobile Treo is now thoroughly tested:
... and type approved for usage in USA. Interesting Palm has requested that FCC should withhold some documentation: Palm requests that the following documents contained in this certification application be temporarily withheld from public disclosure. Palm will give appropriate notice when the product is available to the public and these documents can be released for public disclosure.
To view the existing FCC documentation about Windows Mobile Treo. Treo smartphones have very solid construction and are designed to be used easily with just one hand, so there is no doubt that also Windows Mobile Treo will be a success. The only "problem" is that Windows Mobile Treo for GSM will not be released before middle of year 2006... and the Windows Mobile Treo for CDMA is not usable in Europe...
