Review : AnexTEK moboDA 3360 Pocket PC Phone October 26, 2005 [Pocket PC phone] | By Edward J. R. The fact is that some people don't like mobile phones that cannot be used without touching of touch screen. Increasingly more and more Pocket PC phones have keypads or keyboards and increasingly MS Smartphone becomes obsolete - particularly because Microsoft has crippled MS Smartphone platform badly - no Office Mobile, no MS Reader, many 3rd party applications not available too...
The truth is that if you need powerful phone, you have to get Pocket PC phone, not MS Smartphone and if you really need keypad then AnexTEK 3360 may be for you! The moboDA 3360 with the new Windows OS, excellent phone functionality and decent PDA and camera utility, is a good example of a state-of-the-art converged device. The moboDA 3360 ain’t no brick but certainly is – by necessity of being a converged device -- a large phone. Is it the best phone on the market or the best PDA? Of course not. Producing an all-in-one singin’, dancin’ wonder means that some aspects have to be sacrificed. But is the end result a very decent product that doesn’t disappoint in all the core functions that you bought it for? Most certainly. To read the review, including several photos, click here. Conclusion: the AnexTEK moboDA 3360 is a solid Pocket PC phone with nice keypad, built-in Wi-Fi and full Pocket PC functionality - so that one doesn't have to put up with extremely crippled MS Smarpthone platform and can have typical "cellphone feeling" with one handed usage nonetheless.
