(yet another) review of O2 Xda Atom Pocket PC phone with FM Radio
November 13, 2005 [Pocket PC phone] | By Edward J. R.
It is still unclear whether this excellent Pocket PC phone will ever come to USA or Europe, but it looks like it is available already at several places in Asia...
Some highlights about Xda Atom from this review:
- O2 Xda Atom significantly smaller than O2 Xda mini (i.e. HTC Magician)
- it is made by Quanta and not by HTC
- Bluetooth: version 1.2 compliant
- Wi-Fi: IEEE 802.11b
- cellular: Tri-band GSM/GPRS/EDGE: GSM900 /1800/1900
- Standby: 150 hours
- Talk time: up to 5.5 hours
- Connectors and slots:
Infrared IrDA
Mini-USB connector for USB 1.1 connection and power charging
SIM card slot
MiniSD memory card slot
Audio jack (2.5mm ø)
- "Band Switch" application included
- battery: LiIon 1500 mAh (bigger capacity than 1200 mAH in HTC Magician!)
- media applications included: FM Radio (it looks like it is FM Radio application with RDS - so names of the stations and additional information is presented! also recording of radio is possible with included "FMRecord" application!!!) and Equalizer
