HTC Wizard Pocket PC phone comes also to Vodafone
November 15, 2005 [Pocket PC phone] | By Edward J. R.

It looks like apart from stubborn Orange UK almost all operators will be selling HTC Wizard Pocket PC phone branded by themselves...

The Vodafone version is called "Vodafone VPA compact II" and looks a bit different than i-mate K-JAM:

Some highlights about this phone:
  • Windows Mobile 5.0
  • 64 MB Flash ROM and 64 MB RAM
  • QWERTY keyboard (in Germany with QWERTZ layout)

Please note: contrary to what some online retailers and distributors are claiming the HTC Wizard doesn't have 802.11g Wi-Fi (fast Wi-Fi) but only the regular one (802.11b). In fact also upcoming HP iPAQ hw6715 Pocket PC phone doesn't have 802.11g Wi-Fi.
