Real life photos of HTC Prophet Pocket PC phone available November 19, 2005 [Pocket PC phone] | By Edward J. R. Since we have been forced by HTC and their lawyers to remove photos of upcoming Windows Mobile phones made by HTC and to remove the roadmap of HTC, we restrained ourselves from publishing "computer generated images" (CGI) of any upcoming models from HTC - and we removed all the information that HTC wanted to get removed. Here however a webzine from Sweden has already managed to get real life photos of HTC Prophet (roughly speaking: successor to HTC Magician)! Furthermore author provided to us translation from Swedish to English: After series of rumors about new models from HTC, Sphone.se can now as the first Swedish site and one of the first sites on the net present some real pictures - pictures that confirm HTC Prophet. HTC Prophet, expected as Qtek S200 in Sweden, is a follow-up to HTC Magician (Qtek S100/S110). It has the same neat design, but with a lot of new technology underneath. How about Wi Fi, EDGE, 64 MB RAM, 128 MB ROM, Windows Mobile 5.0 and a 2 megapixel camera - that now has been turned into reality? Something that on the other hand hasn't become real is the FM-radio - a function with the smartphone that certainly would have given for example the O2 Xda Atom a lot of competition. When the HTC Prophet - Qtek S200 - is going to be released in Europe during the beginning of next year, the price is estaminated to between 5000 and 5500 Swedish kronor (that is between $600 and $660 US dollars). And we're waiting. The market certainly needs a few more refreshments in addition to the current and old ones. To learn more and to see real life photos of HTC Prophet click here. Note to HTC: we are just linking to the story on the other website and we are not providing any photos on our server. We hope therefore that it will be OK! Credit: Sebastian Mandrean.
