The first complete review of HTC Galaxy Pocket PC (not a phone) - with built-in GPS
November 28, 2005 [Pocket PC phone] | By Edward J. R.
HTC Galaxy is the first HTC's own device
with built-in GPS receiver. By now HTC was selling only phones through Qtek, i-mate, Dopod, etc distribution channels and HTC Galaxy is the first non-phone and probably a sign of things to come: phones from HTC with built-in GPS ...
Some highlights from the review:
- processor: Samsung SC32440 at 300 MHz (ETEN M600 also uses Samsung processor but at 400 MHz)
- to be sold (among others) as Qtek G100
- small size (even smaller than HTC Magician)
- Wi-Fi 802.11b
- Windows Mobile 5.0 for Pocket PC
- power supply for car included
- built-in GPS receiver (but author of the review has failed to find out what chipset it uses, SiRF III or older?)
