TomTom Navigator 5.2 update released November 28, 2005 [Pocket PC] | By Edward J. R. After upgrading TomTom Mobile for MS Smartphone to be compliant with Windows Mobile 5.0, now TomTom has upgraded also TomTom Navigator - a version of TomTom GPS car navigation software for PDAs (and PDA phones): Update December 2005 - TomTom NAVIGATOR 5.20 This update can ONLY be used when you have already installed a registered version of TomTom NAVIGATOR 5 on your device. This update cannot be used with TomTom Navigator 2 and 3 for Pocket PC. This update cannot be used with TomTom Navigator 2004. We recommend installing the latest version of TomTom NAVIGATOR 5 on your device. This new version has the following new features and improvements:
Conclusion: while making phone calls from within TomTom Navigator was possible already before, now it has been improved and also users of Windows Mobile 5.0 phones don't have to worry about backward compatibility issues - knowing that Windows Mobile 5.0 is now officially supported - both in version for Pocket PC (TomTom Navigator) and a in a version for MS Smartphone (TomTom Mobile). While TomTom software is not widely known in USA, in Europe it is very well known across several countries and probably number one internationally in Europe GPS navigation software.
