Qtek G100 Pocket PC GPS now fully official - specifications and details unveiled
November 28, 2005 [Pocket PC] | By Edward J. R.

Dutch division of Qtek confirms the specifications. Interestingly this "GPS PDA":

... features latest generation of GPS chipset: SiRFStar III (NMEA 0183 v3.0)... Some (selected) specifications of this PDA with GPS:
  • processor: Samsung SC32442X33 300 MHz
  • SD / MMC / SDIO card slot (full size, not mini)
  • built-in GPS: high sensitivity chipset SiRFStar III (NMEA 0183 v3.0), WAAS-enabled, can handle 12 satellites at once
  • Wi-Fi: IEEE 802.11b
To learn more click here (website of Qtek Netherlands).

Qtek G100 is the first device made by HTC and being distributed through regular HTC distribution channels (Qtek, i-mate, Dopod, etc) that has no mobile phone part in it. We have impression that next year HTC will also release a phone with built-in GPS and that this Qtek G100 is just a warm-up...
