A700 Pocket PC phone with built-in GPS launched in Taiwan by Mio Technology - division of Mitac
November 30, 2005 [Pocket PC phone] | By Edward J. R.

Official launch party took place + information about this phone is already officially available on the website of Mitac (however only in Chinese).

A700 is a Chinese version. Version for "the west" will be called A701. This phone has very fast processor (520 MHz) and built-in GPS but unfortunately it lacks Wi-Fi...

A700 uses modern SiRF III chipset for the built-in receiver, but since it misses out on both EDGE and UMTS the lack of Wi-Fi seems unacceptable.
