i300 with 3 GB comes to O2 UK December 15, 2005 [MS Smartphone] | By Edward J. R. The long awaited music smartphone with 3 GB hard disk and built-in support for stereo audio over Bluetooth (A2DP) - Samsung i300, is at last on sale in UK at O2 - a mobile operator from UK that historically was the first to start selling Windows Mobile phones (it was O2 Xda Pocket PC phone at that time).
Samsung i300 is powered by an outdated OS - Windows Mobile 2003 - but since Microsoft got sued by Visto and may be thus prevented (by court order) from releasing push email component for Windows Mobile 5.0 devices - this old OS may not be such a big obstacle anymore. Unfortunately... ... this phone is not available as "Pay as you Go" (i.e. pre-paid) kit but only as "Pay Monthly". In other words: tourists and school children will have problems to buy it... Some highlights about Samsung i300 from O2 UK:
