Grundig to release HTC Universal as Grundig GR980 December 20, 2005 [Pocket PC phone] | By Edward J. R. Updated: the explanation of "Grundig mobile" company/brand. See at the end of this news item! Many Germans remember Grundig as synonymous with high quality German (!) products like TV sets, radios, etc. These days are long gone: in meantime Grundig went bankrupt and it was overtaken by an Asian company... Now Grundig is releasing HTC Universal - a 3G phone made by HTC in Taiwan - as its own product! Moreover Grundig is pretending that it is their own product...
