3 new smartphones from Palm in 2006 - will they be powered by Windows Mobile ? December 21, 2005 [Pocket PC phone] | By Edward J. R. For the first time Palm itself is using model name "700w" and Palm announces that it will release 3 new smartphones in year 2006. Interestingly Palm is not mentioning whether these 3 new smartphones will be powered by Windows Mobile or by Palm OS... Ed Colligan, president and chief executive officer of Palm. "We'll roll out the Palm Treo 700w smartphone based on Microsoft's Windows Mobile, and we'll announce three additional new smartphones during calendar year 2006."
