Another waste of money by Microsoft: Windows Mobile Enterprise Resource Kit released
December 22, 2005 [General] | By Edward J. R.
This resource kit is a program for Windows XP that can be downloaded only after going through the registration and log-in, and it essentially is just a collection of Internet links and very few static images. Such thing could be easily done as a static pages on Microsoft's web site. Instead Microsoft is again squandering marketing resources! Here are screen shots, that show how this "kit" looks like:
Get started by downloading the Windows Mobile Enterprise Resource Kit:
- Walk through a demo of Office Outlook Mobile
- Read information-packed white papers
- Access security and system management information
- Read customer success stories
- View the range of Pocket PC Phone Edition and Smartphone devices, which work with a variety of mobile operators
- Meet our partners and solution providers

Conclusion: releasing a "kit" that is not fully functional without live connection to the Internet and essentially is just a collection of external links - just exemplifies how ineffective marketing of Windows Mobile still is.
