HTC USA offers ClearVue Software for Office documents viewing - for users of Cingular 2125 December 31, 2005 [MS Smartphone] | By Edward J. R. It looks like Cingular 2125 smartphone, that we reviewed lately will be a big hit in USA! Thanks to EDGE support and flat rate mobile Internet offerings, users get a small and handy phone with 240x320 pixels resolution that is very suitable for Internet browsing in combination with Windows Mobile 5.0 that powers this excellent phone. If this all would not be enough HTC established HTC USA division especially to take care of American customers. Now HTC USA announced that users of Cingular 2125 can get Office viewers for free: ClearVue Software version 2.41 ClearVue provides Windows Mobile-base Pocket PC users with the ability to access important email attachments and Internet content. ClearVue views and prints Adobe Acrobat PDF files, digital images and native Microsoft Office 97-, Office 2000-, and Office XP-based PowerPoint, Excel and Word files. ClearVue is the only viewer solution needed to conduct business while on the go. To learn more click here. Since incompetent Microsoft management (with Pieter Knook as a division leader - see photo below) for years (!) fails to understand that Office Mobile should be ported also to MS Smartphone and not just be limited to Pocket PC, this offering will be a welcome extension, that will make it possible to view most attachments to emails directly in their smartphones... During latest Mobius conference Microsoft revealed that it is working on a version of Office Mobile for MS Smartphone, but development is going very slowly and probably only basic viewing features (no editing) will be included in this Office Mobile for MS Smartphone... but release date is totally unknown and nobody can seriously rely on Microsoft releasing it in before year 2007.
