i-mate K-JAM now on sale at all British airports January 01, 2006 [Pocket PC phone] | By Edward J. R. Updated: snapshot added. If you are traveling from UK by airplane then drop by to Dixons Tax Free shop and buy one of 3 Pocket PC phones: i-mate JAM (315 GBP), HP iPAQ hw6515 (383 GBP) and (new!) i-mate K-JAM (407 GBP). While in their brochure Dixons Tax Free mentions by mistake that HP iPAQ hw6515 is powered by Windows Mobile 5.0 (!):
... in reality it is the same old iPAQ phone and quick look at the box confirms: it is still powered by Windows Mobile 2003 Second Edition but apparently people making this brochure (leaflet) couldn't even imagine, that it could be powered by something else than Windows Mobile 5.0 - the contemporary version of Windows Mobile ... Obviously availability of i-mate K-JAM at all airports in UK (in departure zone acessible after check-in) is a good news, particularly because unlike operator branded HTC Wizard phones, i-mate K-JAM is compatible also with fast Wi-Fi, i.e. 802.11g ! To learn more click here, but please note that this page doesn't yet mention i-mate K-JAM although it is actually already available in stores at all airports in UK!
