Assisted GPS (AGPS) for HP iPAQ hw6515 and hw6510 gets better: new version of Gpsct released January 30, 2006 [Pocket PC phone] | By Edward J. R. The HP iPAQ phones with built-in GPS receiver may not have SiRF III chipset (i.e. of latest generation) but they have very good AGPS (assisted GPS) that makes it possible to achieve GPS fix very quickly and even in bad conditions... Here comes the latest version of driver for AGPS in HP iPAQ hw6500 series... Gpsct 1.28, the GPS software for the HP iPAQ hw6500 series, is available for downloading (English language only at this point). Changes made from v1.19 to v1.28 Improved sensitivity Fixed altitude problem of updating too slowly All software updates are cumulative. The most recent software update incorporates any changes introduced by previous versions. This software updates only the GPS driver of the device; it does not permanently update the flash ROM (firmware). To learn more or to download this latest version click here - it is a mobile version of their website so you can browse it also with your HP iPAQ. Credit: Guillaume from GPSpassion.com.
