Total Mobile reviews T-Mobile MDA Vario February 04, 2006 [Pocket PC phone] | By Edward J. R. Overall result of the review is 87% what is not bad. Lack of 3G (i.e. UMTS) is however mentioned as disadvantage and it slowly is becoming a problem in Europe for many Windows Mobile phones. Pros
Generally this review is very positive and calls MDA Vario "the best compromise between a full-on business PDA and a mobile". Since in UK there is no flat rate mobile Internet access and GPRS/UMTS transfers are very expensive (would you like to pay 1 dollar for 1 megabyte?) the lack of 3G/UMTS may not be such a big problem after all. Anyway: T-Mobile MDA Vario has built-in Qwerty keyboard and built-in Wi-Fi (802.11g inclusive), so it may be a perfect phone for many users. Above mentioned review was published in issue 140 of Total Mobile - a monthly magazine available at every respectable newsstand in UK. This is an independent magazine about mobile phones and one can rely on its opinions - it is not biased.
