3GSM 2006 coverage : rumor has it : Fujitsu-Siemens 3G smartphones to be presented at CeBIT 2006 first - not at 3GSM 2006 February 11, 2006 [Pocket PC phone] | By Edward J. R. It looks like not 3GSM 2006 but CeBIT 2006 will be the first place/event where Fujitsu-Siemens 3G smartphones will be presented to the public for the first time...
German press is reporting that Pocket Loox T smartphones by Fujitsu-Siemens will be presented for the first time during CeBIT 2006 in March 2006 in Hannover, Germany and not at 3GSM 2006 in Barcelona, Spain. Fujitsu-Siemens has very very strong brand recognition in Germany and in most other European countries - something that most Taiwanese companies can't say about themselves. High brand recognition means: big sales even without any marketing efforts. Moreover Fujitsu-Siemens is a joint venture between German and Japanese companies, so it is quite likely that German company would prefer to unveil it at Germany-located CeBIT, ... but of course German press that is reporting it, is a little bit biased. Anyway: we will be present at both these events - 3GSM 2006 and CeBIT 2006 - so expect first hand reports from us! Please note: Pocket Loox T Pocket PC phones will bring UMTS, built-in GPS, built-in Wi-Fi (802.11g included) and single handed Qwerty keyboard - for the first time in this combination to the Windows Mobile world. In other words: it looks like Pocket Loox T Pocket PC phones (T810 and T830) will be the best and most powerful Windows Mobile phones this year...
