3GSM 2006 coverage : girls, girls, girls
February 16, 2006 [General] | By Edward J. R.

Contrary to first impression, this story is (!) related to Microsoft's Windows Mobile (see some related comments below) and it is relevant in general...

So this year the 3GSM congress took place for the first time in Barcelona, Spain, instead of Cannes, France, as previously. Obviously it was more organized this year (Cannes was too cramped for such a big event), and topics discussed were more advanced (also 3.5 G = HSDPA and HSUPA, and not just good old 3G), but the question remains: were the women at the 3GSM 2006 more beautiful than last year? Another question: which of these women was the most beautiful one?

Here we present photos of women - both those especially hired to promote company by their looks and those who were just exhibitors and professionals, but by the way were lookers too. Please note that all (apart from i-mate girls) women here: a) posed especially for us, b) agreed to be photographed.

One of the companies that had the most women hired for their looks and for advertising purposes was CBOSS (we noticed 4 in total):

Unfortunately at Microsoft stand we haven't seen any lookers and most people on the stand were blokes anyway. Obviously next year Microsoft should improve and hire some lookers for the purpose of attracting visitors to Windows Mobile! However i-mate - the Windows Mobile phones specialist company - had a party where nice Korean girl band was playing (this is the only photo not made by us - courtesy of TheUnwired.net - a website that offered the best coverage of 3GSM 2006 with regard to Windows Mobile ; all other photos in this story are our own):

This woman from Texas Instruments (TI, company that makes processors that power many Windows Mobile phones) was standing in front of the hotel where Microsoft's centre was located:

Here is a woman from Innoxius Technologies, who holds i-mate JAM in her hand with SDIO card for mobile TV (DVB-H; her company offers also equipment to broadcast such TV):

This woman was clothed as a character from some mobile computer game:

These 2 ladies were from Nortel corporation:

These 4 women were from NTT DoCoMo (the biggest Japanese mobile operator! - they were Spanish though, not Japanese):

This woman was from "p2p mobile" company:

Here is a woman from NVidia company, who was too shy to look straight at our camera (but nonetheless she posed especially for us too):

Here is a woman from Telit company:

This one was from unknown company but she was blowing bubbles and was giving away for free a small bubble generator (what doesn't mean that all mobility startups are bubble economy):

This woman was from Wipro - a giant Indian company specialized in outsourcing jobs from the USA and Europe to India (she was the only non-Indian part of the Wipro stand):

These 2 ladies were from Spanish mobile operator Movistar:

This one was from some unknown company (exhibitor at 3GSM):

Now let's take a look at some Asian women, the first one being from IntroMobile (probably from Hong Kong):

These 2 ladies were from Chinese ZTE corporation (that not only makes phones but also offers network infrastructure for mobile networks, including 3G and 3.5G):

Here is a nice Chinese woman from McubeWorks company:

... and here is a Korean woman from Samsung corporation:

... who told us that Samsung i320 (new Microsoft Smartphone that has QWERTY keyboard and actually is thinner than Motorola Q - although Motorola claimed that Q is the thinnest smartphone in the world) is delayed and that she cannot demonstrate it to us.

All in all we have impression, that this year women at 3GSM were more attractive than last year, but of course such things are a matter of taste...
