Jataayu Software enables MMS Client technology on the Gigabyte g-Smart PDA phone

Jataayu Software announced that the world's first PDA phone featuring TV, the Gigabyte g-Smart employs Jataayu MMS client technology.

The Gigabyte g-Smart is the first PDA phone featuring TV. The built-in Microsoft Windows Mobile 5.0 provides the best PDA and PIM (Personal Information Management) solutions for the business community. Besides basic PDA phone functions, g-Smart is equipped with Bluetooth, Wi-Fi and comprehensive English-Chinese two way electronic dictionary. Moreover, the analog TV, up-to-date PAPAGO G10 navigation system and a free 256MB Mini SD card are additional leisure-enriching attractions.

The Gigabyte g-Smart is widely believed to be a key driver for an entirely new generation of wireless ready PDAs that are expected to become widely popular before this year ends. This is Gigabytes’s first attempt at enriching the Windows mobile environment with music download and TV features. Jataayu’s MMS client technology providing a reliable rendering of a wide array of media types perfectly complement the powerful multimedia capabilities of these new generation devices.

“Jataayu, as a leading MMS technology supplier, now establishes its credentials as a frontrunner in the MMS technology space by working together with Gigabyte. This relationship paves the way for widespread adoption of Gigabyte’s devices in the Multimedia Messaging market, especially enriching the popular Windows Mobile-based devices and accords Jataayu’s MMS technology great mileage”, says Mr. Mayank Sharma, VP Asia-Pac, Jataayu Software.

“Gigabyte recognizes the opportunity that increasingly rich messaging has for improving user experience, providing value-added services for mobile operators to monetize, and driving an important revenue stream for all participants in the mobile industry,” said Dr. Lex Liu, Chief Technical Officer of the Gigabyte Communications . “With Jataayu’s MMS technology, Windows Mobile-based PDAs provide a dynamic user experience for multimedia applications.”
