CeBIT 2006 coverage: big Windows Mobile user meeting at CeBIT ! February 21, 2006 [General] | By Edward J. R. CeBIT is a global event where over 7000 companies come to exhibit their products, and many exhibitors (not all!) at CeBIT treat it as "window to the world" and not just a local German event... but it looks like the Windows Mobile user meeting at CeBIT is "nur für Deutsche" (i.e. only for Germans): This meeting is sponsored this year by NAVIGON company - a German maker of car navigation software (popular in Germany but not so much outside of Germany), that in German press is considered to be even better than TomTom or ALK CoPilot... NAVIGON sponsors the room and drinks. The time of the meeting is Saturday, 11.03.2006, 12.00-17.00 (12:00pm-5:00pm). The location of the meeting is (within CeBIT trade show area): Convention Center (CC), room 1A. The agenda of the meeting will be mostly presentations of NAVIGON company but probably there will be some time also for personal meetings. The selection of Saturday for the meeting is very clever because it is weekend time, when most people have free and thus can come over. We have written above "only for Germans" because it looks like all presentations will be in German, but obviously if you are not German, and you will be at CeBIT on Saturday, you can also come over and meet Windows Mobile users then! To learn more about this meeting click here (in German obviously!). * * * * * For many companies CeBIT is just a local German event, but for many others (particularly those from Taiwan and China) CeBIT is a global event to meet partners from all over the world... and remember that CeBIT is not only for professionals (like 3GSM is) but also for consumers: so if you would like to play with upcoming Windows Mobile phones, feel free to come over to CeBIT! To learn more about CeBIT itself click here... and stay tuned: we will be there (i.e. at CeBIT 2006) on location too!
