Exclusive: The iPAQ rw6828 - HPs Atom Clone February 22, 2006 [Pocket PC phone] | By Lutzh Haedrich. msmobiles.com was reporting earlier, that HP will release a Pocket PC Phone Edition made by Quanta. While we stated that it will only be an re-pack of the already available XDA Atom from O2 Asia, John Cheong from O2 Asia Pacific wrote us this: ... We don't offer "me-too" devices, and this is - and remains - our commitment to O2 customers. ... He also wrote to us ... HP will be selling a re-branded version of the Xda Atom. This is not accurate. While HP may be working with Quanta on launching a new device, it has nothing to do with the Xda Atom. .... We offer you the chance to see the differences in both devices. Exclusively, like you know msmobiles.com! ![]() by lutzh You remember THIS , THIS and THAT ? Well at least we remember, especially THAT! And while we got the chance to shoot some pictures of the iPAQ rw6828 (sorry for the quality of the pictures, they where shot with a windows mobile device) we find it not only very much look-alike, no, we would even say it is the same device minus the O2 Plus Media Keys. Oh, yes, the colour is different. But hey, we have seen twins that didn't look so much like each other and are called twins anyway. So, you can check out the pictures and get your own opinion if the HP iPAQ rw6828 is a clone of the XDA Atom or not!
