Jataayu Software enables MMS Client and WAP Browser technology for Samsung SGH-i300 handset

Jataayu Software announced that the recently launched Samsung SGH-i300 – the world's first 3GB HDD embedded music Smartphone incorporates Jataayu’s MMS client and WAP browser technology to enhance the multimedia messaging capability on this device.

Mr. Mahesh Jain, Managing Director, Jataayu Software, says: “We consider this collaboration with Samsung to be a tremendous milestone for our technology and a win that will be shared by customers and operators. It is evident that such endorsements are fast driving Jataayu towards a significant presence in the MMS and WAP Browser technology markets of the future”.

With the innovative SGH-i300, a 3GB hard disk drive handset, Samsung has scored a first by launching a phone that features “Plug & Play Files-to-go” capability that allows the phone to function as a removable hard disk drive. The SGH-i300 handset is widely believed to be a key driver for an entirely new generation of Smartphones and wireless ready PDAs. The large storage functionality on the phone extends the usage of the SGH-i300 by truly enabling the multimedia capabilities, as it is capable of storing up to 1,000 music files. It is perfect for people with a passion for music as the device supports 3D-sound through its stereo speakers.

Jataayu’s MMS client technology providing reliable rendering of a wide array of media types and its WAP Browser technology providing the important search & discovery functionalities across the Carrier and Mobile VAS domains, perfectly complement the powerful multimedia capabilities of this new generation device. The seamless integration of the MMS client and the WAP Browser on the SGH-i300 brings to the fore the multimedia functionality and enriches the user experience.

“Samsung’s End user orientation has amazed us through out our association on this project. They have really driven us to cater to usage scenarios often left alone due to platform limitations or delivery time frame pressures on most phones of current generation. As a result, we have already started getting great user response to our software on SGH-i300 from just the initial lot of devices that have reached the End users.” says Mr. Raj Kesarimall, Director Marketing, Jataayu Software.
