Next week, on March 9, 2006, the biggest IT trade show in the world starts in Hannover, Germany: CeBIT 2006!
Not only Microsoft plans to unveil there (i.e. at CeBIT 2006) the Microsoft Origami Project (a mini Tablet PC), but apparently (confirmation from various sources) Microsoft has just launched ultra-massive advertising campaign of Windows Mobile in Germany! This advertising campaign is not just in paper publications, but also many other locations, including super-fast trains:
German MVP in mobile devices and employee of Handit.de (shop with Windows Mobile products) - Stephan Schmidt - writes in details about this Windows Mobile advertising campaign (unfortunately in German). Some hihglights about this campaign:
- the URL mentioned in the campaign is www.windowsmobile.de
- the campaign is directed at mobile professionals and underlines possibility to work (including Microsoft Office) wherever and whenever users need it
- in this advertising campaign also partners of Microsoft are integrated, including mobile operators, OEM manufacturers, ISVs software developers
- these advertisements are located at airports, railway stations and also several city centres in Germany; also Internet publications are used in this campaign
