CeBIT 2006 coverage : Samsung i310 to be presented for the first time at CeBIT! March 06, 2006 [MS Smartphone] | By Edward J. R. This week, on Thursday, CeBIT 2006 starts and will be there on location, but already now information leaked that Samsung will be showing there not only Samsung i320 (the one with Qwerty keyboard) but also Samsung i310 - a smartphone with 8 GB hard disk and powered (at last) by Windows Mobile 5.0 !
Samsung i310 has regular cellphone keyboard (not QWERTY keyboard) and looks similarly like i300. Lack of UMTS and Wi-Fi in this phone may put some people off though... Fortunately Nokia N91 (Nokia's music phone with 4 GB hard disk) has been delayed so Samsung has second chance with their smartphones and although actually Samsung is also making phones powered by Symbian Series 60 (that Samsung purchases from Nokia) in fact the most innovative and most interesting smartphones are powered by Windows Mobile! Until recently many journalists thought that most announcements of new Windows Mobile phones this year were made during 3GSM 2006, but apparently it was wrong: there are big chances, that we will see at CeBIT some new models indeeds - not only from Samsung! We will be at CeBIT on location whole time so stay tuned for first-hand reports and original photos! Samsung's official CeBIT 2006 web page is here. Original source of this story (and of the photo) is here (in Korean).
