CeBIT 2006 coverage : T-Mobile to present MDA Vario II - Pocket PC phone for 3G / UMTS March 07, 2006 [Pocket PC phone] | By Edward J. R. T-Mobile MDA Vario II will be probably (not certain yet) the HTC Hermes - a phone that looks like MDA Vario (the one with slide-out keyboard), but has full UMTS support and faster processor from Samsung! T-Mobile’s integrated network, service and tariff portfolio also includes its growing range of mobile devices supporting high-speed communications. These include, for example, the web’n’walk Card compact – which will be available from April 2006 – and the web’n’walk Card W-LAN. After CeBIT, the web’n’walk Card W-LAN will support not only the use of GPRS, but also data exchange by high-speed UMTS. From the early summer of 2006, the PDA phone MDA Vario II and the Smartphone BenQ-Siemens EF91 will expand T-Mobile’s portfolio of offers – with what will be the first HSDPA-capable mobile phones. ... T-Mobile’s exhibition space is located at the Deutsche Telekom booth in Hall 26, Booth A 01. So it looks like T-Mobile MDA Vario II will have also HSDPA (apart from UMTS) and that it will be released "early summer 2006"! To learn more click here (the original source of this story).
