ROM upgrade with Push Email released for i-mate JASJAR - but without A2DP ! March 13, 2006 [Pocket PC phone] | By Edward J. R. As promised by CEO of i-mate more and more i-mate phones powered by Windows Mobile 5.0 are getting Push Email upgrade, this time: i-mate JASJAR (known under code name "HTC Universal"): This ROM upgrade can be download here or after you log-in to club i-mate and click on link to upgrades. Apparently HTC has some problems with hardware construction of their phones because it is leaving out the A2DP (stereo audio over Bluetooth support). Some other phones, like O2 Xda Atom, have no such problem and support A2DP fully already. This ROM upgrade launched by i-mate for the JasJar supports MSFP (Push Email + remote wipe) and offers also a new Connection Manager applet. The MSFP works almost perfectly, and the new Connection Manager is very useful. While Push Email update is very important and practically means that users can get rid off their Blackberry devices and use only Windows Mobile, in fact many users have been waiting specifically for A2DP support... and are being disappointed now...
