Orange UK promises A2DP for their Windows Mobile 5.0 phones
March 16, 2006 [General] | By Edward J. R.

Apparently A2DP (stereo audio over Bluetooth) is coming to Windows Mobile 5.0 phones sold by Orange! It may be not in the first update (the one with push email) but it is apparently coming...

Victoria Sandell from Orange UK says:

Orange is working with its partners to ensure that stereo audio via Bluetooth technology meets the rigorous standards required by Orange, and therefore adds true benefit to our customers. As soon as we are happy that we have reached the required audio quality, we will enable this feature in the future.

Please note that Orange is selling in UK Bluetooth stereo headsets branded by themselves (black box, Orange logo, available in Orange shops) so clearly Orange is aware of importance of this technology. It is good to learn that Orange cares!
