Windows Mobile news from Verizon Wireless, USA - Motorola Q + Samsung SCH-i730 March 21, 2006 [General] | By Edward J. R. Once upon a time Americans looked at Europe as pioneer of new models of Windows Mobile phones. These days however some models are coming first to USA and only later to the rest of the world... one such example is (already released) Palm Treo 700w and yet another such example is (upcoming) Motorola Q ... ... also known under code name "Franklin", that is still on schedule to be released in April 2006 as we were reporting earlier! However to meet April 2006 schedule Motorola Q will be erleaed without AKU 2, on which Motorola and Microsoft are still working. Apparently push email is very important but releasing the phone to the market as soon as possible is even more important. Interestingly there are good news from Samsung: ROM upgrade to Windows Mobile 5.0 with AKU2 should be out in a couple of weeks. Please note that by no means there is no certainty that these phones and upgrades will included A2DP (stereo audio over Bluetooth). At first push email has the highest priority both for Microsoft, hardware manufacturers and also to a degree for wireless carriers. Stay tuned. More news from Verizon Wireles coming...
