The first official version of SlingPlayer Mobile for Windows Mobile released April 27, 2006 [General] | By Edward J. R. By now available only in beta (i.e. not perfect) version, now at last final version of this player has become available. If you own Sling Box device and a Windows Mobile PDA or phone, then you can watch your TV anywhere, any time! Now available for Pocket PC only, it should be available (according to latest announcement!) also for MS Smartphone soon: Sling Media, Inc. announced the first official release of SlingPlayer Mobile for Slingbox owners. SlingPlayer Mobile is a new software package that gives Slingbox owners the ability to watch and control their home TV from any network-enabled mobile phone or handheld computer (PDA) powered by Windows Mobile. "We have been thrilled with the response to our public beta and the feedback we've received from our customers," said Blake Krikorian, co-founder and CEO of Sling Media. "While Microsoft Windows Mobile is the first handheld and mobile phone platform that Sling Media is supporting, we are committed to expanding support for other mobile device platforms in the future."
