FM Radio application for E-TEN G500 Pocket PC phone available ! May 12, 2006 [Pocket PC phone] | By Edward J. R. It is not yet quite official but it is there and you can have it now, if you have E-TEN G500 Pocket PC phone (the one with built-in GPS and TMC). 
During our interview with him we pointed out to president of E-TEN corporation, that since G500 already has TMC that uses RDS over FM radio information, then it should have also FM Radio tuner application! He said that E-TEN didn't think think that FM Radio is something that business customers - original target market for G500 - would be interested in - and that's why E-TEN didn't release FM radio application originally. Now, at last FM Radio tuner for G500 is available! At this moment only as part of French 097 ROM but works fine with English 080 ROM. To get it download this file (ZIP file), unpack it, and copy all files to /windows/ folder and then create a shortcut in the start menu to this application! Now with this FM radio software available the E-TEN G500 is the only Windows Mobile phone on the market, that has both GPS receiver and FM radio built-in! Credit: Alex Abraham from MSMobileNews.
