The reason is not only lack of ability to compress more than 2 GB of files by WinZIP, but also versatility and rich set of features of WinRAR (that also can compress and uncompress ZIP files, not just RAR files). If you switched to WinRAR in your PC, now you can do the same in your MS Smartphone: UNRAR is a freeware RAR extractor frontend based on [...] Windows CE port of official UNRAR library. It supports extracting RAR archive, SFX Module(WinRAR self extractor), password encrypted RAR archive, multi-volume RAR archive and recovery archive.
