People escaping Windows Mobile group at Microsoft May 19, 2006 [General] | By Edward J. R. After Juha Christensen and Jason Gordon, here is yet another employee of Windows Mobile group at Microsoft, who has just left Microsoft altogether:
Ed Suwanjindar, who was a Group Product Manager, Mobile Devices Division, Microsoft Corporation - and who has been working at Microsoft for 6 years, recently has moved to Apple Corporation, where he is now working in area of iTunes marketing. Please note that some people in Windows Mobile group cannot stand the heat and move not out of Microsoft, but just to other groups within Micrsosoft, example: Mike Wehrs who couldn't stand criticism, Derek Brown who was tired of people asking him to get MVP award, so he moved to small business server group and Beth Goza (Torrone) who was scared away from Windows Mobile by offensive personal attacks of Andrew Orlowski - a journalist from The Register tabloid. While some of this personnel rotation at Windows Mobile group may be considered as natural, some of it results from errors of management - not only management of Windows Mobile (mobile devices) division, but also of Steve Ballmer and Bill Gates, who (both of them) still don't treat Windows Mobile seriously enough. While Jason Gordon works for Motorola and helps in development and marketing of Windows Mobile phones there (including the amazing Motorola Q - the first Windows Mobile phone with true wheel and not just a low-usability jog-dial or keypad), obviously Ed Suwanjindar will not be helping Windows Mobile anymore - Apple is not making any products for Windows Mobile or Windows Mobile devices and the rumors about "iTunes for Windows Mobile" were a fake designed by some people to attract web traffic to their websites.
