Rumor: E-TEN M600+ Pocket PC phone is coming soon
May 24, 2006 [Pocket PC phone] | By Edward J. R.
Evolution, not revolution...
E-TEN M600+ will supposedly have the following improvements over old E-TEN M600: 256MB of Flash ROM (instead of 128 MB), a 2.0 Megapixels Camera (instead of 1.3 Megapixel) and Bluetooth 2.0 (instead of 1.2). Other specifications the same as of E-TEN M600:
- processor from Samsung 400 MHz
- support for GSM/GPRS but no UMTS/EDGE
- full size SD card slot
- a bit thicker than competition from HTC, size: 111.7 x 60.7 x 22 mm and weight: 174 g
Conclusion: E-TEN is not moving fast enough when it comes to dimension (thickness) and radio interfaces (lack of EDGE and UMTS) but it has fast processor and solid specifications, so it may be of Interest to people, who buy phones not at mobile operators but online or at various distributors.
