Another review of Motorola Q smartphone May 30, 2006 [MS Smartphone] | By Edward J. R. Here comes yet another thourough and very good review of Motorola Q! Since Palm Treo smartphones are missing the wheel, Motorola Q has big chances to become a hit... 
Interestingly author of this review confuses the wheel (with full scrolling ability + press and included in BlackBerry devices and in Motorola Q) with jog dial (not included in Motorola Q - allows only for movements up/down/press): It was nice to see a jog dial again on a device [...] It does lack Wi-Fi and the push e-mail functionality, but EV-DO is plenty fast for a mobile device and you can still set up ActiveSync to sync every 5 minutes until (I hope it will come) an AKU-2 update is provided by Motorola. Motorola has sold me on the Q, and if Verizon Wireless would drop its minimum monthly plan by about $20 then I may order one just to use the device on the fast EV-DO network. I hope a UMTS/HSDPA version is released in time for the holidays so T-Mobile and Cingular customers, along with worldwide users, get the opportunity to use the Motorola Q.
