HP continues bad tradition of not releasing ROM upgrades across major versions of Windows Mobile operating systems, so users of HP iPAQ hw6515 are stuck for ever with Windows Mobile 2003 and can't enjoy Windows Mobile 5.0, but nonetheless this ROM upgrade brings some worthwhile enhancements: This package contains the ROM Update Utility (RUU) and ROM image for the HP iPAQ hw6515 and hw6515e Mobile Messengers. [...] The RUU is designed to replace the current ROM image and to erase the partnership and all user data and programs on the iPAQ handheld. [...] Enhancements Provides the Global System for Mobile Communication (GSM) Radio Firmware Version 2.12.00. Provides GSM Protocol Stack Version R5G.23.00.05. Provides Bluetooth Software Version 1.7.0.2900. Provides Quick GPS Connection Driver Version 2.03. Provides TODAYPANEL Lite Version 2.20. Sets Password Authentication Protocol (PAP) as the default value for the General Packet Radio Service (GPRS) Authentication setting. Renames secure digital (SD) and mini-SD cards to "Storage Card."
