InfoShare List Manager works both with MS Smartphone and Pocket PC devices, and thanks to software component that runs on a desktop PC, it enables wireless synchronization of lists - without need for any servers!

Overview of the product:

Unwired is doing some very cool and innovative things with respect to synchronizing data between Windows Mobile devices (Pocket PC and Smartphone) and desktop computers. The patent-pending technology is powerful, useful and quite slick.

Additional information/answers related to the interview:

1. Data encryption/security
  • Data is never stored on a server, but only on each machine
  • Encrypted on a machine by machine basis, over the wire
  • Further encrypted....each time it's synchronized
2. Notifications
  • Notifications are done via sms facility. not a necessary component of the software if it doesn't function due to carrier differences, etc.
3. Data transfer/synchronization
  • Data is transmitted/synchronized via http connection to our Web service
  • After the initial (first-time) list synchronization, only differences in the data are transmitted
