Review of O2 Xda Atom Exec Pocket PC phone July 04, 2006 [Pocket PC phone] | By Edward J. R. The O2 Asia still has no public information about this new Pocket PC phone on its website, but it has been already reviewed by an Asian publication from Thailand. According to the author of this review this model (i.e. O2 Xda Atom Exec ) is almost the same as the previous one. Faster processor with speed of 520 Mhz doesn't bring much bigger performance than old one with 416 Mhz. However new software is bundled with the phone such as Worldmate, Code wallet pro 5, Jeyo, sms backup and also O2 Phone plus brings some new features like Block list and Smart dialing. To view this review click here (the review is in Thai language - only scan of specifications is in English - but many interesting photos justify the visit). Conclusion: first real review of O2 Xda Atom Exec is out and similarly like the predecessor (O2 Xda Atom) this phone probably will be released only in Asia by O2 Asia and will never come to Europe or USA.... although HP may bring a clone of this phone under its own name, but it is not certain. Generally speaking this phone is just an evolution and rather minor improvement over older model. Lack of 3G/UMTS and lack of any other innovations (like a wheel, QWERTY keyboard or built-in GPS) makes this phone rather mediocre construction although built-in FM radio may be appealing to some people (however it works only with cable headset that functions as antenna, not with Bluetooth stereo headset).
