Samsung SGH i320 smartphone already offered by some online shops ! July 07, 2006 [MS Smartphone] | By Edward J. R. Just recently Samsung has announced launch of Samsung i320 in Europe. Now the first online shops start offering this phone, some even claim that it is in stock with delivery time 6 to 10 days! The price is also very attractive, without cellular subscription: around 390 Euro (496 U.S. dollars or 270 British pounds)... Is it a real deal or just another trick by some online operators? Unfortunatley we must conclude that it is trickery: online shops offering phones without actually having them in stock and without having certainty of deliver times. However this is the first price estimation of this phone! Samsung SGHi-320 has no Wi-Fi and no 3G/UMTS, so the only premium feature is the Qwerty keyboard (for single handed usage)... therefore we can assume that it will be priced similarly like current average Microsoft smartphones! On the other hand 3G Pocket PC phones like HTC Hermes and Fujitsu-Siemens Loox T830 will cost approximately double the price but they will feature both Wi-Fi and 3G/UMTS. To avoid misleading potential customers we intentionally have not published links to aforementioned online shops and we ask all users to be cautious in this hot period, when this new fantastic smartphone is "about to launch this month".
