Motorola launches wiki for Moto Q smartphone July 09, 2006 [MS Smartphone] | By Edward J. R. Motorola is showing several innovative approaches when it comes to design, marketing, support and selling of Motorola Q! Interestingly Motorola is even using latest web technologies such as wiki (web pages editable, expandable with anybody, but much more structured than web forums) to provide support for Motorola Q smartphone! Because the possible applications for the Q are always expanding, the "ideal user guide" would always grow and change. That can’t happened on paper. With your help, this wiki can capture and share the ever-growing knowledge of the greater community of Q users. Frankly, Motorola can’t possibly know how the Q will work in all situations – who could? But we love our Q users and want to learn from them, help them, and make our products better in the future. Even the best user guides have limitations The URL of the wiki is simple: www.motoqwiki.com! ... and it is a wiki that is hosted by Motorola itself! Conclusion: due to much lower price than Palm Treo 700w (and other Pocket PC phones) the Motorola Q has chances to become very popular model but obviously users not always are able to carry user manual with themselves and naturally not everything can be covered in the user manual. This move by Motorola to launch a wiki especially for Motorola Q is a brilliant move that shows how important it is to have Motorola among Windows Mobile manufacturers!
