The (final version of) Missing Sync for Windows Mobile v2.5 now shipping - for Mac OS X July 19, 2006 [General] | By Edward J. R. Previously available in early alpha version, now it has been released in full version. These days Apple is selling notebooks and desktop computers powered by Intel processors, also some of them very affordable, and indeed many people are abandoning Windows XP and chosing Mac OS X. Thanks to Missing Sync they can keep their Windows Mobile phones though! Since ActiveSync from Microsoft is not available for Mac OS X, it is good to see that 3rd party software house is releasing synchronization software for Windows Mobile 5.0, that uses new and different synchronization model than Windows Mobile 2003 and other earlier versions... Windows Mobile devices are becoming more and more common every day, especially smartphones and Pocket PCs with cell phone capabilities. However, none of these devices include connectivity or synchronization software that supports the Mac. That's where The Missing Sync for Windows Mobile comes in. With ActiveSync-like capabilities for the Mac, The Missing Sync lets you easily connect and synchronize your important information with Windows Mobile 2002/2003/5 Pocket PC and smartphone devices. The Missing Sync for Windows Mobile supports nearly all smartphones and Pocket PCs made over the last several years, including the very latest devices running Windows Mobile 5 (WM5). If you have an older iPAQ or the new Motorola Q, you'll be able to get the most out of these devices with The Missing Sync. You can sync your device with multiple computers and all device-side connections are available: USB, Bluetooth, and when supported by the device, Wi-Fi (WM5 devices do not support Wi-Fi sync).
