April 03, 2003 [MS Smartphone] | By anonymous 1.

For real-life review of some upcoming XScale-based MS Smartphone powered cell phones, with which we had opportunity to play at Intelīs stand at the Exhibition of this MDC, click here. We present there not only pictures of new phones, but also comparisons to the good old Orange SPV phone (ARM processor) and impressions from using of these new XScale phones.

This review shows that progress in chip technology:

... not only translates into smaller physical size of new phones:

... but also into much much faster execution of all programs.

Shortly speaking: XScale processors give so much more power to the MS Smartphone, that switching to XScale from ARM is like switching from bicycle to Porsche car.
