Free GPS Software for Pocket PC phones released August 23, 2006 [Pocket PC phone] | By Edward J. R. This program works also for Windows Mobile 5.0 and may be interesting because it interacts with Google Map website: The application requires a PDA with built-in Cell Phone and Bluetooth. It also requires the PDA to have the WinCE2003 or WinCE2005 operating system, and an Internet or data connection. With the software you can let others view your location on a Google Map. More information from the software vendor: We have built a low cost GPS wireless tracking product. The software has privacy control, zone creation & notification, text CHAT between PDA and the Google Map, an 'agile' one-click re-locatable zone, and a whole bunch of other useful options. Our Map Server delivers maps wirelessly (~20-35K/map) to the PDA. U.S. Maps only. However, there is an option for creating and using screen captured maps for tracking in areas outside the U.S., or for off road, caching etc. You will NEED to register in order to create a DB table for your device. We DONOT collect any personal information. This means we do not know who you are and we also do not make any of this data available to anyone else. There is a manual, a slide show, and other information on the web site to explain how the program works. If you are interested read the manual and view the slide show. The product is free for personal use so anyone can use it, if they have the hardware, and a wireless data connection. The software can be downloaded from this web site: www.perdiemco.com We have tested the software with the following devices: ETEN G500 MIO iA701 HP 6515 Siemens SX66 Audiovox SMT 5600 (Smartphone) Credit: Darrell Diem.
