First high-resolution photos of Palm Treo 750w available August 26, 2006 [Pocket PC phone] | By Edward J. R. The first Treo for other network technology than CDMA will be officially announced on September 12, 2006 by Vodafone, Palm and Microsoft, and in October or November this year it will go on sale. If you have enough of blurry and low-resolution photos of this Treo, that will be firstly launched in Europe at Vodafone, and that will be called "Treo 750w", read on! Here is how this phone looks like:
... and you can see more views of this phone, photos of this phone taken from other angles, here: tatsdiy.com. It is not clear whether this phone will have built-in Wi-Fi, but first official photo of Treo 750w (blurry) had Wi-Fi connection icon in title, what could indicate that this phone will have indeed built-in Wi-Fi. Since Vodafone is not offering yet tariffs in UK and elsewhere in Europe with genuine unlimited flat rate mobile Internet access, lack of Wi-Fi in this phone would be big mistake! Another rumored specifications of this phone are: GSM, GPRS, EDGE (fast GPRS), UMTS, HSDPA (fast UMTS, Vodafone already offers HSDPA in their 3G networks), Bluetooth. Since Treo smartphones have achieved cult status in USA (however in movies and TV series Palm OS versions of Treo usually occur yet), availability of GSM/UMTS version of Treo may mean that Palm would have finally chances also in Europe, where still Symbian dominates and Palm smartphones are a rarity.
