SlingPlayer for Pocket PC released in version 1.1 BETA

Recently we have published review of SlingPlayer for Pocket PC (version 1.0) and now already new version - 1.1 BETA is available for download! Since SlingMedia's support for Windows Mobile is excellent and their SlingBox is one of the best ways to have your own private mobile TV (the mobile TV offerings from mobile operators usually doesn't contain full featured TV channels), it is good news that they keep developing Windows Mobile version of their SlingPlayer...

Enhanced Video Performance
- Smoother video and minimizes occasional stutter
- Faster video quality stabilization at beginning of connection
- Better performance in relatively lower bandwidth environment (a 3G cellular/ WiFi/ USB-based connection still recommended)
- New resolutions provided as optional use in lower bandwidth environment
Conflict Manager
- You can now disconnect your other connection to Slingbox and gain control of the connection from your mobile device with SlingPlayer Mobile
Expanded Use of Favorites
- Now also available in Full-Screen mode (on devices supporting this mode)
- More channels with logos available as Favorites
Other Enhanced Features
- Software update alerts
- “X” on top right of player window fully closing the application, as a player option
- New skin providing a more streamlined interface that enhances viewing experience
- Better timeout management due to weak signal
- More robust remote control library
- Improved messaging when no video signal detected to facilitate troubleshooting
- Full screen-related messaging disabled on Treo/ square display devices
