Treo 750v - first official confirmation of the model name available! August 29, 2006 [Pocket PC phone] | By Edward J. R. Previously there were speculations and no certainty about the name of the Windows Mobile Treo number 3 (after Treo 700w and Treo 700wx) - the one that will be announced on September 12, 2006 and will be available commercially in October/November this year. Some people thought that it will be called "750w", where "w" stands for "Windows" (the Treo 700p is powered by Palm OS)... ... however now there is first confirmation from Vodafone that the name of this phone will be: Treo 750v indeed! If you go to a Flash presentation in Spanish on a website owned by Vodafone - by clicking here, then at the end of the presentation you can see the text "Treo 750v from Palm"! Although being number one in USA, in Europe Palm Treo smartphones never achieved any noteworthy market share, but with Treo 750v everything may change!
