Another review of HP iPAQ 6815 published September 29, 2006 [Pocket PC phone] | By Edward J. R. It is not clear, when this Pocket PC phone will be available in USA, but apparently it is coming to Europe around the middle of October 2006 (next month). HP iPAQ 6815 in reality is an Xda Atom designed and manufactured by Quanta in Taiwan. Yes, HP has fallen so low, that it now sticks its brand on devices not even designed by HP! While this phone lacks 3G (UMTS at least, possibly HSDPA = fast UMTS), it has built-in Wi-Fi and FM radio and afer all it may be enough for some people - it is very small after all.. In author's opinion this phone may find users, who would be satisfied with it: The HP iPAQ 6815 is a device with nice basic features like Bluetooth, WiFi and a camera. The device is pretty stable and above all: fast. The look and feel of this device is a bit dissapointing in our opinion. It looks like a PDA with a high bling-bling factor. Not really our style. We guess that HP is not really aiming for the business user with this device. The HP iPAQ 6815 memory can be upgraded via mini-SD. This device uses mini-USB which is new for a HP device. Overall we are pretty happy with it. The overall quality of the device is good but the looks could be better. It's all a matter of taste!
