HTC boosts marketing efforts in UK, Microsoft helps HTC too October 08, 2006 [General] | By Edward J. R. Where does marketing money of HTC go? HTC, itself headquarted in Taiwan, has established subsidiaries in Europe (in UK) and in America (in USA). What are these subsidiaries doing? Spending money that HTC is sending them. It is good to see that some of this HTC money goes also for paying of big advertisements like this one:
... that comes from the latest issue of British leading mobile phone magazine "Total Mobile". Interestingly it is not just "whole page advertisement" but it is located on page number 2 of the magazine, meaning: the second most expensive advertisement placement in the magazine (the first most expensive is on the back of the magazine - taken by Vodafone). As you can see above HTC mentions that list of retailers where one can purchase HTC phones can be found here: http://www.europe.htc.com/stockists. Interestingly in the same magazine also Microsoft is advertising Windows Mobile - something that Symbian is never doing with their Symbian OS - and Microsoft is using HTC's Pocket PC phone in the advertisement: ![]()
