Leaked at FCC : Vodafone 1210 smartphone to be launched by Vodafone as Vodafone VDA IV soon October 22, 2006 [MS Smartphone] | By Edward J. R. ... but it has no video calling! Clearly the fact that Microsoft fails to include 3G video calling in Windows Mobile operating system, causes troubles and more and more manufacturers are not including 3G video calling in their phones with UMTS support, despite the fact that 3G video calling actually is a part of UMTS standard! Specifications (from the user manual):
Conclusion: due to lack of support for 3G video calling and lack of Wi-Fi, this smartphone is nothing impressive, but total lack of camera (neither for video calling nor for photo taking) indicates that Vodafone may be offering this phone mainly to business/enterprise customers - after all in many companies mobile phones with camera are forbidden. Unfortunately again this phone lacks mass market appeal and will be a failure.
