JOGGR resurrected in T-Mobile Dash through registry hacks + SIM unlock available October 27, 2006 [MS Smartphone] | By Edward J. R. HTC Excalibur branded by T-Mobile USA is called "T-Mobile Dash" and it is already on sale in USA.
This excellent Windows Mobile phone with QWERTY keyboard for single handed usage (the only one with such keyboard offered by HTC) has been however crippled in this incarnation - instead of JOGGR (kind of touch pad like in notebooks) only volume up and down buttons were placed... Fortunately thanks to the passion of users, who love their Windows Mobile phones, now a solution has been found to bring JOGGR functionality back: With registry editor you need to set:
* * * * * In a related story a SIM unlock for all HTC Excalibur models (including T-Mobile Dash, O2 Xda Cosmo, HTC S620, etc) is available here, so that you can purchase HTC Excalibur wherever and use it with any SIM card from any wireless carrier. Interestingly from the same source also SIM unlock for Lobster 700 TV smartphone is coming soon too. This excellent mobile TV smartphone is available on Virgin Mobile and works only with SIM cards of T-Mobile (Virgin Mobile UK is a virtual operator that works over T-Mobile network) but with this SIM unlock it will work with any network. However it is too early to report success - they are still working on the Lobster 700 unlock...
